Nick Taylor

Born in England and growing up in an artistic family of painters, writers and designers, Nick attended College for the Dramatic Arts where he was introduced to lighting for theatre and photography.

On leaving college he worked in London for SVC Post, a premier Editing house as an assistant editor. While at SVC, Nick shot his first music video on 35mm film for English recording artist Joe Eckers which prompted a move into Cinematography.

Nick’s career has taken him aall over the world shooting spots for such Fortune 500 clients as Visa, Mastercard, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Budweiser, Coors, Lexus, Toyota, Occidental Petroleum and Gillette to name a few.

While shooting many celebrity driven spots and working with such artists as Tiger Woods for “Buick”, David Beckham for “Gillette”, Eva Longoria, Jackie Chan and Yao Ming for “Visa”, Greg Norman for “ McGregor Golf”, Paula Abdul for “Pepsi”, Nick enjoys shooting all styles of commercials, movies and music video’s. He specializes in story telling, comedy dialogue, testimonials, working with ‘real’ people, celebrities, shooting beautiful exteriors and quality lighting.

While working as a Cinematographer Nick has worked with many talented directors including Ridley and Tony Scott, Danny Boyle and his feature work includes Viacom’s “Shame II” and NBC’s “The Secret She Carried” directed by Dan Lerner, HBO’s “FTW” directed by Michael Karbelnikoff, “Courage Under Fire” directed by Ed Zwick and “When Harry Tries to Marry”, directed by Nayan Padrai.  Nick enjoys shooting on a variety of formats including film, Alexa, RED or 5D, depending on which suits the project.
